In the Garden
We grow a wide variety of vegetables. Some are sold fresh at the farmers markets and the rest are preserved through sun-drying and dehydration.
Our fruits and vegetables are dried using only the heat from the sun or warm air and there are absolutely no additives or preservatives!
What is Permaculture?
“Permaculture is a philosophy of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted and thoughtful observations rather than protracted and thoughtless labor; and of looking at plants and animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a single product system.”
|At Ambercott Acres, we farm according to these practices. We do not use any: animal fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or plastics on our plants as we attempt to work with nature and embrace the biodiversity of plants and animals on our farm. we control pests using natural methods such as yearly crop rotation and smaller patches of crops in different areas to prevent infestations.|
Our cherry trees are covered in large mesh bags to avoid spraying for invasive bugs.
We believe that farmers are first and foremost stewards of the earth. By nurturing the soil, we are able to ensure not only a bountiful and healthy harvest but a sustainable one that can continue for many years.
